Psyke!

(Ignore the pistol box and rounds, they're not mine)

I was cruising migunowners.org one day, checking out the various wares the people were peddling. I came across this Mini 14 during my browsing and I thought to myself, "Hey, that appears to be in good shape". The Mini 14 is a nice looking gun, and the only thing that dissuaded me from getting one was the price. $800 dollars for a new one, and averaging $500 dollars for a used one? Fuck that, it isn't worth that much for what it is.

But this guy was selling his for $350, which to me is reasonable. I contact the owner, and I said I would take it. A half hour drive and $350 later, I was on my way home with this rifle. Looking it over, it was obvious that the rifle was a safe queen. The bluing is almost perfect, with only minor wear near the bolt. The wood is pristine, with next to no dings or scratches on it. Awesome.

Pros:
This thing is heavy, and is built like a brick shit house.
It's really handy. When they say mini, they mean it. It's really fucking small.
Simple sights, basically a washer and a front post.
Fripping potential. For what I paid for it, I can easily make a profit should I decide to sell it

Cons:
It's heavy
Proprietary mags :(
Being that it's an older model, it doesn't have the scope mounts built into the receiver.
Accuracy? I don't know about this one since I haven't shot it yet. If it can hit a torso sized target at 200-300 yards I will be happy.

All in all I like it. I will get a sling for it and maybe a nice red dot (http://www.aimpoint.com/o.o.i.s?id=47&prev_id=47&product_id=114) or scope.

Quick edit: Does anyone know where to get a stock like this (http://230grain.com/images/rsrh/davemini2.jpg)?

If anyone sees a naked rifle, let me know.

Wait, there you are

What are you doing under there?

I see you've lost some weight

Look, I know you want to make it big in Hollywood, but they don't make any more A-Team episodes. I'm sorry, you'll just have to work for me.

Yes, it's a genuine Ruger folding stock. How do I know?

Look at figure 7. It's very similar to the Ruger stock, except for one thing. The pistol grip is straight off an AR, which shows that it was made by Ramline. These are often advertised as original folders by people who don't know any better or by people trying to pull a fast one. So beware if you're looking at buying one.

(ps. this stock cost more than the rifle itself)
