I have been lusting after one of these for a loooooong time. Recently I had the opportunity to do a little horse tradin' and I found myself walking away with what has to be one of the better examples of this lil' pony.

So, here she is, my Colt Combat Commander, MkIV, series 80 in stainless.

The spare mag was even in the same plastic bag it left the factory in.

Both mag baseplates are marked "Colt .45 Auto". It does not appear to have been fired much, if at all. The springs are all very stiff, there's no wear on the ramp and the guide rod had a bit of corrosion but no marks or wear from the spring.

I believe a nice set of walnut grips with silver medallions are called for and other then that, I ain't gonna do a thing to her.

Other than shoot her once in a while. She's my Sunday go-to-meetin' & BBQ gun.

Now all I need is a low cut tooled leather holster & matching spare mag carrier.

Nice twigg. Admittedly I am not a fan of commanders but a stainless series 80 would be a nice find to happen on. Sweet trade.

A little heavy for my preferences, around 5.5 lb.

Looks like you are going to need to find another means of announcing new purchases...I mean..acquisitions...I mean 'loaned from a friend' items.
