There's a lot of discussion on ready bags and go bags, so much so that the topics have both merged into a general sense of a get-home or get-out-of-town bag. I'd like to just start calling them GEET bags. I don't have a fancy acronym for it other than my own Guaranteed Evacuation/Emergency Toolkits

GEETs as I like to call them are are extremely customized for the task at hand.

We have the GEET Ready bag:

We have the GEET out of Dodge bag:

We seem to be mising the Geet First-Aid bag.

We have the GEET Trunk/Truck bag:

Today I'd like to share my GEET rifle bag, its a very simple affair. The bag is made by US Peacekeeper. Its fairly rugged and durable:

The bag is compartmentalized and each slot holds something that I will need in order to fed, clean, and care for my rifle.

Here you can see the first zipper compartment which holds a firearm with a Velcro holster.

Here you can see the second zipper compartment which holds 3 pistol magazines in sewn in elastic on one wall. On the opposite wall is a mesh pocket. Between the two walls is free space aka valuable real estate.

The GET rifle bag sits right above my SHTF rifle:

Having it next to the rifle, and when I say next I mean on or touching the rifle means that whenever I grab that rifle, I grab that bag.

Here is what it looks like in better lighting:

Here is what it looks like open:

The contents:

2 30 round magazines and 2 20 round magazines (1 featured).
1 box of 200 rounds rifle ammunition.
1 Set of gloves
1 Hi-power flashlight
3 Spare pistol magazines
1 box of 100 rounds pistol ammunition.
1 bottle of lubrication for both firearms.
1 Bore-snake for the rifle.
1 pair of safety glasses.
1 box of safety ear plugs.
1 AR15 / Multi-tool.
1 Pistol.

A few notes on the items:

You may be disappointed to not see my magazines filled with TAP ammo or other SD ammunition, but that's what the pistol is therefor. I'm pretty good with my plinking ammo and its good ammo to boot. Use what you know will work when your nerves are frazzled.

And yes I can agree that maybe this is an odd assortment of items. After all when in a shooting situation or SHTF situation are you going to have time to grab eye protection and ear plugs? Probably never. The reason that they are inside the bag is because this bag also doubles as my secondary range bag.

So if I get all the way to the range and forgot some essentials in my larger range bag, or if I go plinking with a buddy on the fly, I've still got what one needs, and I've got the benefit of having a firearm nearby in case I'm on a shady open range...we've all got those stories. Take my advice and keep a gun in your bag when on open ranges..

Hope you enjoyed. Comments, questions and criticisms welcome.

Stay safe, shoot straight.

I just bought one of these because of that review. It came in today. I loaded it down with a lot of stuff and it has a shitload more room. I can actually fit 2 - 30rd PMAGs in each front mag compartment. I haven't figured out what to do with the side pouches though. Pistol and pistol mags fit great. I need to go out and get some more hornady tap to carry with it. The shoulder strap is wide enough to evenly distribute all the weight from the ammo and gear in the bag without it being uncomfortable.

Good review.
