I've had a Bladetech UCH for my SP-01 for about a year now. It's nice and all, but I've got some problems with it. I honestly don't like how high it sits on the belt, which makes maneuvering about sometimes harder than it has to be. It also has a single belt loop, which I'm finding to be annoying, as it allows the rig to travel a bit too much. Third, I'm spoiled on CTAC c-clips, and holsters I have to remove my belt to put on are a pain in the ass.

Of course the first place I looked was Comp-Tac, but a year later and they still haven't got off their asses to put an SP-01 on the market. So now, I'm wondering if there's anybody who's got a better setup out there.

if you want a SP-01 holster that rides low, the Bladetech DOH is fucking perfect

Well I was actually looking for something that would work for CCW, but that looks very comfy for a range piece. I may get that in the interim while I wait for another IWB model to come out.

Or how about this, does Bladetech make any longer belt clips? I'm looking at my UCH and it looks like there's a good inch to an inch & a half indentation in the kydex that could accomodate a longer clip.

How about you call them up and ask?

I've heard Blade-Tech is good about custom work. My Blade-Tech IWB for my 1911 sat just fine with no problems, which is why it's weird to hear that about the UCH. Either way, if you e-mail them they'll probably be able to make some sort of custom fabrication for you, especially just an extended clip. It's worth a shot, especially if that's your only main gripe about an otherwise good holster.
